The breadth of ESA services enables us to identify specifically how best to ensure that you can optimise your sales in-store. ESA Consulting will lead you through a five step process in order to help you achieve this outcome:

  • Key factors - We identify what are the key factors influencing a consumer to shop in a store and / or purchase a product. Once understood these key factors are prioritised in terms of importance.
  • Evaluation - We evaluate:
    • Store environment - to understand the state of the store in the eyes of the consumer
    • On-shelf - identify for a product and category all aspects of on-shelf marketing such as price, promotions, range, space and availability.
    • Customer service - we determine both the level of compliance to service standards and whether the service standards accurately reflect what is important to consumers.
  • Gap - We compare what is important against what is actually found in the store environment and this enables us to identify and rank the biggest gaps that prevent you maximising sales.
  • Plan - With a prioritised list of gaps and an evaluation of the return from closing the gaps, the final stage prior to implementing is where we work with you to define a plan to address the gap areas.
  • Implement - We work with you to implement the plan to address gap areas whether it is from organising full product availability at all times through to undertaking training to improve compliance with customer service standards.
